Steel plates have different sizes and lengths, which can be completed in different ways, each of which has its own specifications in operation.

Plasma cutting

This method of cutting metal materials is very suitable for low carbon steel plates.

No matter what this method lacks in edge cutting quality, it makes up for speed.

When the metal material is very thin or thick, it is more and more likely that the edge lacks ideal perpendicularity.

The total cost of this cutting method is often high due to the various items that perform the process.

Power supply, cutting torch lead, gas, cutting torch, water cooler and cable are required to perform this cutting process.

Oxygen enriched cutting

Also known as flame cutting, it is an ancient method of cutting steel plates, and is also considered to be a simple and cheap method. This method can even cut very thick steel plates, but not more than 36 or 48 inches of metal material.

In order to produce clean and smooth square cutting, adjust the cutting torch appropriately. There can only be a small amount of slag at the bottom, and the top edge should be slightly rounded from the flame.

Although the speed is very slow, only 20 inches per minute, multiple torches can be lit at the same time.

Water jet cutting

With the high accuracy of this method, it will not produce any thermal deformation.

The thickness ranges from 6 to 8 inches, during which the flow tends to diverge.

As for the overall production cost, the cost of booster pump and other equipment is very high.

laser cutting

Due to the combustion process used in this method, compared with other cutting processes, the speed of laser cutting is significantly slower. The speed of this process depends largely on the chemical reaction between iron and oxygen.

In addition, various elements of the equipment, such as gas purity, beam quality and nozzle condition, must operate normally. In terms of accuracy, laser cutting can produce clear contours, tiny craters and smooth edges.
